B.A. (Hons.) Japanese Overview
The B.A. Japanese or Bachelor of Arts in Japanese is an undergraduate Language program. The course helps to make the students aware of a foreign culture and its people to promote international understanding and harmony by acquiring the necessary communication skill in the Japanese Language. It covers a wide range of topics, such as Politics & Governance, Economy, Religion and Literature. The course allows them to do in-depth, specialized study from a wide range of possible options, including both classical and modern literature, linguistics, pre-modern and modern history, anthropology, politics, economics, and art.B.A. (Hons.) German program has been designed to adapt the Task-based and Communicative Approaches that are the latest Foreign Language Teaching methodologies adopted across the world to enable learners to attain the language competency levels specified by the internationally accepted Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF), developed by the European Council. The B.A. (Hons.) German program seeks to cover three key areas of study, i.e., Study of the German Language through the development of 4 core skills, reading, writing, listening and speaking, the study of the language for specific purposes such as Business German, German for Tourism, Translation, etc. and study of socio-political institutions, literary, historical and cultural movements of the German and German-speaking world.
Eligibility Criteria
Students who have successfully completed 12th or equivalent with any stream are eligible. To pursue graduation course, students should satisfy the following eligibility criteria :-
Eligibility for Admission in B.A. (Hons.) Japanese
Candidates must appear in CUET in any of the following subject combinations:
Combination I: German from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2
OR
Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2
Merit will be based on the best CUET scores obtained from any of the above-mentioned combinations of subjects.
Candidates who opted for Combination II for admission will be considered only if seats remain vacant after considering all the candidates who opted for Combination I
Lateral Entry
For the graduation courses no lateral entry is allowed because you have to complete your 12th with any stream from any recognised board. After that you are able to take admission in the Puran Murti Campus via AIE CET (All India Engineering Common Entrance Test).
