Bachelor of Pharmacy Overview

School of Professional Studies (S.P.S) is providing 4 year UG degree course that deals in manufacturing of drugs or medicines and the process of dispensing them. The students who want to be a pharmacist can opt for this course right after completing their 10+2 PCB/PCM. It is the best job oriented course for science students.

B.Pharmacy admission is sometimes merit based and can be on the basis of entrance exams like,NEET,UPSEE etc. Some colleges also conduct their separate entrances for the admissions. B.Pharmacy fee is divided semester wise and can differ in some institutions. After B.Pharmacy students have ‘n’ no. of employment opportunities in the pharmacy sector of both private and public sector. A B.Pharmacy fresher can earn 5-7 lakhs per annum on an average.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who have successfully completed 12th or equivalent with any stream are eligible. To pursue pharmacy course, students should satisfy the following eligibility criteria :-

  • Students must have qualified their 12th board examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathmatics (PCB/PCM).
  • The candidates should pass 12th with a recognised board.
  • Students must have secured a minimum of 50% in 12th board examination.

Lateral Entry

Candidates who have a minimum of 12th or any equivalent qualification with any recognised board or university with the minimum score that is 50% marks can join the pharmacy course from 2nd year in the School of Professional Studies.
